Data protection for the press mailing list
The controller is omaneo GmbH, Görlitzer Straße 5, 41460 Neuss (Neuss Local Court, HRB 25543), email espresso@omaneo.de. We use your name, the media outlet, the desk and your email address to send you press releases of omaneo GmbH. The mandatory details are the media outlet or editorial office and the email address; without them we cannot add you to the mailing list. We do not collect any further details. As proof of your registration we additionally store the date and time, your IP address and the wording of your consent.
The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. The registration only applies once you have clicked the confirmation link in the email (double opt-in). We delete your data as soon as you unsubscribe (only the block note remains, see below), and at the latest one year after your registration or your last message to us. We delete unconfirmed registrations after 30 days.
We store your details on our server with our hosting provider. We send the confirmation email and our press releases via an email service provider, which processes your details on our behalf. Beyond that, we do not pass on your details.
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, as well as the right to revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. You will find more on this in our privacy policy.
Objection and unsubscribing
You can object to the use of your email address for press releases and revoke your consent at any time, without incurring any costs: via the unsubscribe link at the end of every email or with a message to espresso@omaneo.de. After that, we will no longer send you any press releases. So that we can respect your objection permanently and do not add you again by mistake, we store your address only in encrypted form (as a checksum) on a block list; we cannot read the address from it. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 21(3) GDPR. If you later register again yourself, you thereby lift the block.
Press texts and images
Our press releases, with text material and images, will be available here to download as soon as they are published. Those on the press mailing list receive them first by email.
